How We Support Our Community
Charitable Works
Charitable works are our hands-on response to groups and organizations experiencing an immediate crisis or need. Each month, a group or organization is selected, and their most urgent needs are identified. For us, charity begins in our clubhouse. We pass around our Red Baskets at monthly meetings where our clubhouse community can donate funds. We organize donation drop offs for food and nonfood items. And teams of volunteer club members are able to quickly deliver the donations, making an immediate impact.
Philanthropic Endeavors
Philanthropic endeavors are our more strategic works aimed at supporting organizations that address systemic issues, trying to make the world a better place by tackling societal problems at their roots. Every year, we devote our time and talents towards an annual fundraising project for a carefully selected organization who will be the recipient of the net proceeds of the event. These public events have always been very successful and included: Ease into Spring Fashion Show, A World of Tastes Food Fair, An Appraisal Affaire and many others.
Finally, funds are generated from the rental of our beautiful clubhouse and garden. Net proceeds from the rental activities are calculated at the end of the club year, and the Board of Directors selects the recipients and donations amounts from a list selected by the Philanthropic Committee.
